Effective January 19, COVID-19 testing operations at Lakeside Mall will be converted from Macomb County to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). Drive-thru testing and on-site operations will be conducted by the State of Michigan's contracted vendor, HONU Management Group in partnership with LTS Staffing Inc. MDHHS is responsible for facilitating the program and overseeing vendor activity.

Testing Process
All individuals will receive an antigen test. The antigen testing process is simple, easy, and quick. Appointments, prescriptions, insurance, and pre-registration are not required. Anyone can register using their phones while waiting in line via QR codes that will be provided. After participants are tested, results are delivered in an estimated 15-30 minutes via text or email (15-30 minutes process in total). If one of the following criteria are present, a confirmatory PCR is performed: confirmatory positive from an antigen test, the patient is symptomatic, the patient indicates direct exposure to someone positive for COVID, they specifically request one (for work, travel, physician request, etc.). All tested persons are provided with a letter containing resources and information for next steps in the event they test positive.
