Emergency Management and Communications

Emergency Management and Communications is the county's designated emergency planning and communications infrastructure agency. We maintain the county Emergency Operations Center, organize training and exercises to prepare for emergencies, coordinate disaster response and recovery operations, and maintain first responder radio communications.

Mission statement

Macomb County Emergency Management supports a safe and secure community by facilitating activities and coordinating resources that enhance the ability of local municipalities, first responders and the public to prevent for, mitigate, respond to and recover from emergencies and disasters, including the coordination, implementation and maintenance of two-way governmental radio systems and equipment that enhance communication capabilities.
